Stage 1 hot cams
I have a chance to get a set of Hotcams in trade with my stock cams. I don't want to change my pistons cause I just installed new rings. Will I even gain anything by using stock pistons and aftermarket cams? Will I feel the gain? Any info you guys may have on this would be very helpful. 1 other question I have. I know the 750 has 8.8:1 compression and the 650 SRA has like 9.9:1 Would I see a better gain in the 650 SRA or should I just put the cams in my 750?
Thanks

Stage 1 hot cams
I am drawing a mental blank on where I read it, maybe Dirt Wheels, or ATV Rider. But, one of the mags just did a write up on installing a set of Hot Cams in a BF750. They said that the cams really woke it up. I know the cams you are speaking of, as I saw Mickey's post over at KR. You have nothing to lose for that deal. I believe you will see some gains. Not huge ones, but definetely a gain. Likely a full quad length in 300'.

Stage 1 hot cams
Yep that's the cam's I'm talking about. I just got off the phone with Mickey and wow what a nice and helpful man. He wasn't sure what stage the cams were but gave me the #'s off the and I called up Hot Cams and they told me there Stage 1's. Yea I know what write up your talking about it was in Dirt Wheels but they put them in a 650 SRA. Guess I'll try the cam's in both my 650 and 750 and see where I like them better. With the 650 SRA having more compression I would think that's where they will work better.

Stage 1 hot cams
I am running Web 150i's in my Prairie, but that is coupled with Wiseco 11.5:1 82mm pistons and a BF750 crank. Difference between stock and this setup is night and day. I outrun Outlander 800's with my current set up.

Using that 750 crank was it hard to get it timed right? I have thought about Putting 750 or 700 cylinders, and crank into my 650 is this possable? Is it as easy as it sounds? Or would I have to change alot of other parts as well?

Stage 1 hot cams
I just had my P650 cylinders bored 2mm over. Not sure on the 650i though. Those cylinders may have nikasil plating, which would have to be redone after boring. I installed 82mm pistons (stock 700 size), BF750 crank, and P700 connecting rods. I did not do the work myself, but had a reputable builder, from my area, do the work. So, I am not sure how hard it was to time. I had cylinder boring/ piston matching, and head work, done by Flynt, in Byram, MS. I sent him my cylinders, pistons, valves, and heads. He cleaned up my heads, installed valves, and bored the cylinders. His price was reasonable (can't remember exactly what I paid, but do recall that I found it reasonable). He is a member here and you can pm him for more info. He was a great help to me during my rebuild.

Yea I have seen Flynt around here and there. Yea I will just keep doing my research on all the different Kawasaki V engines. I'll end up doing the work myself. My 07 650 still has warranty till 2010 so I got plenty of time to ask questions.
