Default popping out exhaust

Heres a good one. 07 750 been cdi muzzy exh and k&N filter. Jetted to 150 and 155 now I got a nasty popping out the exhaust on decel and a mid throttle miss any ideas

what cdi? Put your stock cdi in and see if it goes away. This will tell you if it is jetting or cdi related.

Is the popping like a backfiring, if so your runnin rich.

If you have a Muzzy then you need to rejet. Do some plug runs at the throttle positions you are having issues and that will tell you what to do.


Hint...The Muzzy has equal length headers so the jetting on each carb SHOULD be the same or really close.

Default popping out exhaust

I'm running 146/144 jets right now with the needle on the 2nd clip and the air fuel screw out 1.5 turns the bike has a slight pop at certian postions of mid throttle if I hold it steady but is good at idle and WOT if I turn the snorkel facing forward (over 45mph). when I tried to run the 155/150 like dynojet reconmended it was way to rich. I am running the muzzy, twin air filter, dynatak and dyno-jet kit with center snorkels 2"
