I have the quite core on and also the spark arrestor and the HMF sounds great and not annoying...and imagine that i move my brute in the city....

How exactly did you install the turn down? It looks like the end of my exhaust is curved outward some.

I cut the end off flush with a sawzall and attached the end cap from my hmf with drill point screws

I have done this mod and it is awesome great sound and fairly easy to do

Anyone do this on a 08 at higher elevation? I like the idea but hate to make the EFI try to run beyond it's range. It always runs good here at home at 5500 feet but up in the mountains at 7-8000 I get some backfires...

Sounds like you need a programer. Must be close to the limit already.
