Thumbs down Le Vacuum Pistons!

I have one moving and the other isnt.. anyone have any tricks to keep that diaphragm in the upper chamber sealed so she works? Never encountered this before but am positive its the diaphragm not properly sealing since the jets are all clear and everything else is clean as a whistle!

So.. got it sealed and workin. Am noticing now that she runs better with the choke pulled on fully.. it backfires a bit when running no choke on and sounds a bit drowned out at full throttle. Anyone have any ideas?

Probably still leaking some and running lean. See if you can get new diaphrams. Make sure the slides work smooth and that the springs are seated at both ends.

When installing the diaphram, the spring pushes the slide all the way down and streches the diaphram just a bit, making it harder to to keep the lip of the dia. in the groove on top. By putting something in the barrel to keep the slide just off the bottom should help.

This idea really help me,I was going nuts trying to keep the lip in the groove
and get the top on so what I used was a 3/8 ' ' ratchet exst. behind the slide
in the carb
