Question Tie Rod Recommendation

So.. driving at moderate speeds and having something bend your tie rod isnt fun. Getting thrown off isnt bad, just having to limp it home and trying to steer it up 7ft ramps into a truck with a 6 inch lift is pretty much lame. Needless to say am looking to upgrade the tie rods and end.. anybody able to give me any ideas for whats good or to looks for?

Any aftermarket tierods are stronger then the stockers. Kawie made them that way to bend before other parts break. We all replace them with something that won't bend before the other parts break. Take your pick. You can get the stainless steels from SS ATV Plus, Diamond G, AllBalls,Vinforcer and a few others. There are also the ASRs which are tubular and said to be the strongest. All are good. Take your pick.

Naaa...in reality, I have only heard of two people out of thousands that have had something else break after tierod replacement. If you do something bad enough to break a knuckle, you will have more issues then just a broken knuckle....you will probably be dead or in the hospital.. and won't care...much..

I did it. I think it needs to be done although I never bent mine. Thought I did a few times though.

I use the oem ones and when i am going trailing i always carry a couple of rods with me and change it on the spot.It is nothing,30 minutes only and ready to go...We have done it many times on my friends' brutes.Just lift the brute and go under while it is on 2 wheels. And the tools the brute carrys are enough...very easy job...
I asked the same question jamesblair26 and i believe it that the rod will not bend but something else will....

Gus! I am supprised! Don't worry about it...put some good tierods on there and ride. You won't break anything...you care about yours enough not to slam into stumps and trees at 30mph+

As a precaution, I would replace the new tie rod ends after 2000 hard miles of riding, I know this first hand, everything in time will wear out.

I run the ASR Pro-X set..they are pretty stong...the heim joints are a little sloppy after a few years, and one of my rods is slightly bent too. I didnt pay anything for the set so I cant complain really. I'll tell you what tho, I went threw 5 OEM ends and two rods before I put this set on!!!!
