fireing in carbs
ok guys i just recently rebuilt the brute for you guys thats just getting in runs but i have been haveing trouble with the engine sounding like it missses then cut s off after a few times. well i found the what the missing is the front cylinder is firing off in the carb i was playing around with valves today and i looked in the front carb and when it idles it fires in the carb you see it fire down in there. it doesnt do right off just after abou 3 or 4 revolutions. thanks guys need some help asap.

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean by "firing in the carb" but this sounds like a timming issue.....after the 3-4 revolutions, is it consistent?

yeah when it starts it keeps doing it its like it has to load up then it starts at first i thought maybe my valves wernt closing all the way so o took off the carbs and looked in the intake and they close all the way i have no clue what could cause it besides timind but im really sure it right.

So the valve timing is correct...and you stake your rep on it, then its leaking valves. Either set to tight, or the seats were lapped in wrong...you did do a valve job while apart...right? What are the valves set at?

i dont set my rep on it but i am pretty sure i will check again. and no not valve job kept thr same valves figured it would be ok if i left the valves alone?

Ok, well, might have one leaking for some reason. The intakes are shut by or very near the bottom of the intake stroke and don't start opening again for ...what..1.5 revolutions...so there shouldn't be ant fire or combustion getting past the valves...unless they...or one is.. are leaking for some reason
