ajusting carbs???
how can i tell when my carb adjustment is right? i put wat the kit recamended with a after market exaust and i have a slip on hmf.
right now it smokes black and feels like it is boggin down a lil bit. just want to know how to get my adjustment right thanks guy.

Well it sounds rich. How about you tell us what main jets it had...and what thay had you put in. Did you change the pilots? Did you use a carb kit like a DJ? Does it smoke black over 1600 rpm or under? When it feels like its bogging, about what throttle position? 1/4,1/2, above 1/2...and so on.

im not sure what was in like stock jets like 150 or so i put 165 rear i think 160 front and it smoke black higher rpms and when it bogs down its about half throtle

That's a big jump. Grab the old jets, see what size they were, go up only one size....maybe.. Are the 160 and 165 a Keihin size and Dynojet size. Thay are different. There is a jet chart in Brute tec to compare.

dyno jet size. i will look at diffrence in the jet sizes today when i get off work

ok i have 150 rear and 144 front still dont know wat size jets the stockers are tho i will have to try to find out

how did you get 89hp on a dyno having the carbs not set properly?

stock pipe and stock jets. setup stock never messed with the carbs untill i dynoed first i knew it was going to be a pain.
