im getting a kind of loose rattling noise from my clutch just in idle though. when i give it a pop of gas and the belt engages it goes away.
i inspected the spider and the little rolers or bushings that rub up agoinst the clutch weights have a little bit of play from side to side. is this normal? theres like 2-3 mm each side of bushing of play.

thanks guys

Not sure, but have heard of the spider assembly wearing to the point of having to be replaced. I assume those bushings are what wares on those. When not bearing pressure.. like at idle, I would think that could rattle. I wonder if we should be servicing those some how. I see on Babbitts that sell the whole spider assembly.
