Red face

I'm leaving for the Black Hills in 5 days. As I was loading my 06 750 today I noticed gobs of oil under the rear shaft seal. Nuts.

I searched the site, can't find the part number for an 06 rear shaft seal. Anyone know the part number and where I can order a couple of them that can ship tomorrow?

thanks guys. I know it's easy to change--but I gotta have a part number and someone to order from!

Dealers are your only bet. If your lucky and the planets are aligned they will have one on stock.

Thanks guys. Don't have a local dealer! That's part of the problem. I'll see what I can find. If nothing else I'll call the dealer in Rapid City and see if they either have one or can get one by the time I go through on Saturday. And then I can install it there.

Order placed. 2 day UPS was the best they could do. Ordered 3 of 'em since shipping is more than the parts!

Ordered from SpeedSupplies.com.

I found the website with a google search, verified they had the part, then called and talked to a very nice lady who really tried to help--and appeared able to do so. I'll know for sure when the parts show up (or don't!) on Thursday. If they get here Friday I'll swap it out when I get to the hills.

Good. I was going to say I have one spare but I don't think I could get it to you soon enough. Hope it/ they get there on time for you.

New seal arrived today. They only had one, I guess, so I don't have any extras. I have more coming later from another outfit but I knew they wouldn't be in time so I found this place.

Anyway, took well under an hour to change it out. Hardest part was getting the Brute jacked up on the trailer (it was already on the trailer and at the perfect working height) and getting the wheel off!

Thanks for all the help guys! I'm good to go to the Black Hills in Western South Dakota, leaving tomorrow evening for a week of blissful mountain trails!

YeeHaw!
