So I have been reading up on CDIs, Moose Modules, Highlifters unit mentioned in the title. My question is will these work on the 08 750i? Just looking to get a little more kick out of the launch.

No that will not work on your 08. It is for 05-07 models only.

I'm seeing on other sites "not that it means it's true" that the 08 is de-tuned on the bottom end by retarding the timing like it's earlier versions. There are other riders actually installing the Highlifter Module on their 08's and claiming a degree of success. I was hoping the guy from Highlifter would chime in and shed some light on it one way or the other.

yes this true but only with the 650 models the 750 is EFI and its different. The EFI gives power about the same as a carbed model with a dyna. I tried one out at the dealer and thats what I found

I have a 08 FI 750 brute. I have also installed one of the older model HL ICM Power Pak's. I have to say i did not notice a huge difference like some are calming. More like a small difference. To tell the truth its hard to feel it since the 08's launch so hard as it is but after i added it i run against my buddies brute which is a 08 FI 750 as well. I get him out of the hole every time now. After about 60 feet or so the margin stays the same or close. We have next to the same mods and tires.
Like i stated there was no night and day difference or should i say WOW factor with mine but it does make a small difference.
If you get one of the modules it will need to be the older solder in style. The newer ones with the plugs will not work because the FI bikes have the wires run to a different spot on the ECM.
I posted pics in this thread showing how to wire it up.If you have any questions just ask. I'll help if i can.

Thats the same things I have been reading the past few days VTpraire. Appreciate you looking a little further into it. Thanks for the install info MetalMan, always good to know someone with first hand experiance.
You know I think I'm going to give it a whirl. There are a couple of choices out there so not sure what one to try. Kind of leaning towards Diamond G Racing's module. Seems to go a bit further then the rest. Havent talked to them yet though. Will tomorrow and let know what he has to say.
Thanks for the replys guys.
Here's a couple of links to the before and after vids on you tube. Seen these on MIMB site.
