Re: Secondary clutch spring
Depends on your riding style.* I'm running a maroon primary/almond secondary with 27" Swamplites.* Some folks say to just go with the maroon primary/stock secondary when running 27" tires and below.* What are you wanting to get by changing your springs?

Re: Secondary clutch spring
more low end power! The silverbacks are pretty heavy.

Re: Secondary clutch spring
I like the maroon/almond spring combo.* I lost a little power when I added bigger tires.* With this spring combo, my brute is back to the wheelie monster it was before.* ;D

Re: Secondary clutch spring
But my tires are a little heavier then yours I think. Thats way some people said go with a stronger spring.

Re: Secondary clutch spring
I run 27 xtrs with stock secondary and maroon and don't have an issue it works great and I can wheelie all day long I didn't like the almond lost to much top end and I don't think the belt is any tighter then with I got with the stock spring. Its all in your prefrence get the springs try them and see what you like you can always unload the springs to someone on the sights. I don't think those tires are any heavier then the xtrs. get the springs give it a shot.

Re: Secondary clutch spring
I'm running a maroon primary/stock secondary with 27" MST's on beadlocks and I just leave it in there when i swap to my 29.5" laws and it still pulls good and I can ride wheelies all day long.*

Re: Secondary clutch spring
I can ride wheelies also, but being 6'2" and 235lbs does not help.
I am going to try a secondary spring.........not sure which one though.

The almond secondary is overkill for my size tires.* I'm going to remove it and put the stock back in the next time I do belt maintenance.* You would be fine with either the maroon primary/stock secondary or maroon primary/almond secondary.* IMO the lime green secondary is overkill.

Re: Secondary clutch spring
Yeah ... the backs are pretty heavy for 27's . Not only the weight but the strain of turning them in thick mud, climbing out of ruts* and the different things that put more strain on the bike than just riding down the trail is the reason a lime green is a good idea.
