Default 12v Accessory Outlet Not Working

I installed a winch and spliced the red switch wire into the hot wire for the 12v accessory plug up front (the plug-in located on the left side of the black horseshoe under the pod). The switch and winch work find, but I don't have any power to my 12v anymore. I used one of those clamp type splices that clamps down around the wire and puches a metal clip into the wire insulartion and around the wire. I suppose it could have cut the wire going to the 12v outlet and that is why the switch still works. Anybod else have this or a similar issue?

Yeah, probably. I was trying to get done and didn't want to take the time to do it right I guess.
