Default splicing in the toggle switch

I mounted a Warn 2.5 winch on my 650, routed all of the connections to the junction box and battery, but I still need to splice a red/black 12 ga. wire coming off the toggle switch into an ignition controlled wire. Which one she I use?

Thanks in advance.

Default splicing in the toggle switch

I suggest you splice into it on the harness side of the connectors rather than the removable side. If you splice after the connectors you won't be able to remove that black shroud that the aux outlet sits in.
