Default 08 Brute Force wont run

HI there,
I have an 08 brute force 750 with the fuel injection. The other day it ran fine and i went to start it today and it will not start unless i pump the throttle alot. I hear the fuel pump start up when i turn the key and when i go to start it, it will not start. Then after i pump the throttle it finally starts but runs really rough. Then when i put it into gear it dies. Anybody every had this problem? I talked to a mechanic and he said ECM? Also he told me he thought kawasaki had a recall on this?
Thanks

Seems I hear about more 08s and fuel pump problems then any other injected year. But..the majority of these are intake screen related. Some have been able to pull the pump, clean it out, then clean out the tank and reinstall. Gus in Greece had this problem and after he found a drop-in filter that catches all the stuff that enters the top of the tank.

Might pull the fuel line off the rail and see how much volumn and pressure it has with the key on. If weak, then look to the pump or it's intake. If nothing...well...maybe be the controler or ecm/ecu.
