So When i wrapped my winch cable around my wheel, it loosened the brake line fitting from the caliper and allowed air in the line. I cant figure out how to get it out. I have been pumping the brake a couple times, then holding it down and releasing the bleed valve. no luck. Can you do it one side at a time? Also how full do you fill the reservoir? The rubber seal thing inside has me screwed up. Thanks for the help guys.

OK without insulting your guys intelligence I need to ask a question. Have you bled brakes before? If the answer is yes, then are you pumping the lever nice and slow? You have the reservoir filled completely? You are using the proper fluid?
Sorry guys but I gotta ask these questions.

Yes to to all your questions except one, I may have used the wrong brake fluid. I'm using regular DOT 3 brake fluid thats right, right?

I have bleed them on autos a million times, not atvs. I used the dot4 or whatever it says on the resevoir cap. I dont know how much fluid is supposed to be in the reservoir or if you can do it one side at a time.

I have always used Dot 4 or Dot 5. What does your brake fluid reservoir say to use?

i believe it is 4. I used whatever it said to use. I dont have the bike at my house to look or i would. I read on hl that you should bleed into a container with a little fluid in the bottom with a bleed hose ran from the bleeder valve to the container. That will keep air from entering back into the line threw the valve itself. I will be back over to my grandpas thursday to finish my bike, and will try it then.

Gota do it like a car. Can't do it alone unless you have a power bleeder that will work on an atv. It will take two. One to pull the break level down and hold it while the other opens and closes the bleeder or fitting. Don't let the lever go until the bleeder or fitting is closed or sealed. Do this until all the air is out. Yes, you can do it one at a time...and never ever let the fluid level get low enough to suck air. Put some in it every three pumps or so.
Good luck guys

Power bleeders are a huge time saver if you have the funds to spare. They usually run you about $50 for a good one. you can also get speed bleeder valves that have a mini check valve in them. They worked real well for me on a jeep once.
