Default Fender protector / Foot pegs

Can someone tell me if the fender protectors / foot pegs made for the 05-07 brute 750 will fit a 08 brute 750? Is there any difference in the 08 rear fenders to the 07 ones? thanks in advance for the help

The guy on ebay selling them said that he couldn't verify if it would or would not fit an '08. However, Cabellas has it listed as 05-08 so I ordered one. I'm still waiting for it to arrive. Once I install it (or attempt to install it) I'll let you know.

Wife just texted; bars/pegs are in. I'll have an answer for you tonight or tomorrow at the latest.

Well, the box says "installs in minutes." It took me three hours! The instructions are TERRIBLE and almost nonexistent. The 2005-2007 version definately DOES NOT work properly with an '08 Brute (even though if you order them from Cabella's it says in the description that they are for 2005-2008 Brute Force).

I did get it on, but it took considerable "persuasion" on my part. I had to put the right fender guard bar on the left side and left fender guard bar on the right side (which looks bad because there is an indentation in the bar to hold the foot pegs straight which now points outward instead of the intended inward position, therefore defeating the intended purpose of keeping the pegs from rotating around)(If the pegs do rotate around, I can solve that problem by drilling a hole through the mount and bar and putting a bolt through it w/a lock nut). The lower mounts had to be bent up because they didn't clear the floor boards properly. I couldn't put the end caps where the bar attaches to the floor board bracket. I had to replace the bolts that clamp the bars to the rear rack because the ones that came with the kit were to long and would have been rubbing the fender. On top of all that, all this monkeying around to get this all to fit and bolted up scratched the hell out of the powder coating on the bars. I'm hoping someone sells some sort of black paint that looks like powdercoating or the scratched portion of the bars will rust w/i a week here in the moist Florida air.

On the positive side, they are on and they do work well. My wife is much happier with these than the Tamarak foot rests that I had on there. The Tamarak ones were cheap plastic in my opinion, not securily mounted, and appeared to be easily succeptible to breakage. They were also not high enough for her to put her feet upon them and still be back up on the seat high enough to be back up against the backrest. These Bison pegs can be located any where up or down along the fender protector bar to place them in the ideal position for the passenger's feet. Just don't plan on moving them up or down for different passengers because that would entail unbolting the "U" bolts and sliding (read scratching) up or down the fender guard bars. Here are some pictures.

Not bad. Too bad it took so long and required modifications. I for one would have sent them back if they were not designed for the bike but the fact is you are happy and that is all that matters. Good job

I'm to pig-headed to return them. They were so close that I just "knew" I could figure out how to make them work. I love a challenge!

Thanks Thom.
I Took the wife for a ride last night w/the new pegs and she LOVES them. She says they are much better than the Tamarak ones that I had on there. According to her, w/o these pegs, she would probably not be able to stay on the rear seat w/as stiff as my springs are now.
