I saw this picture in another thread and noticed the large handguards. Just wondering if anyone knows what brand they are and/or how well they fit/function on the Brute 750's.

I was looking at a set of powermadd star series hand guards, but the set in the picture looks like they might be larger and more effective at wind / thorn protection.

Those are Koplin handgaurds. They have a 3'' mirror on the inside with is kinda cool. Id like to know myself how they fit.

Not my bike, but those look identical the the ones I just installed on my 750. They do have mirrors inside them. I can't attest to their ruggedness yet. I bought mine in the clearance aisle at Wal-Mart the other day. They were $22.50, marked down from $ 49.50, so I thought I would try them out. I was more concerned with the fit as I couldn't return them. As it turned out, they mounted fairly straight forward after removing the handlebar plastic so I could get my meathooks in there to install the hardware. Nice tight fit. You will have to do a little plastic shaving to keep from binding the plastic on reinstall, though. I believe I took about a half an inch off where there was contact and you can't even notice that it wasn't always cut out like that.

I have powermadds on my brute they look nice but what a pain in th a** to put on the moose ones may not be as pretty but installing them on my 650 and 360 was a breeze and they function better.

I saw those at WalMart too and I have been planning on picking up a set. I like the mirror thing I spend too much time twisting around to check on the family behind me when we ride. Plus it will give less warning when I decide I need to spray my buddies who are getting close enough behind me.

I have them, they took a little cutting on the pod to find bar space.
The mirrors don't rely work as well as they should unless you want to see how cool you look on your Brute.

I agree that the mirrors are not as useful as they could be. If you work with the positioning of the handgaurds before you tighten them up permanantly, you can actually get them positioned to be able to see just past your shoulders. Just the other day, they helped me see my wifes legs come up and I was able to grab them before she rolled off the back! She wasn't as amused as I was.

Bought a set of nice powermadds too but they sure the hell don't seem to want to fit. Did you make additional brackets? I would sure be interested in seeing some pictures as to how you have them mounted I like the looks of them better than the others.

you have to lossen up the brackets that hold you choke adjustment and starter butten and on the other side the throttle shimmy them over and on the throttle side I had to cut a little of the pod plastic because it hit not much and you really can't see it also if I remember corretly I reversed the brackets that came from the powermadds so when I looked at the directions you see they suggest the mounts to be one way I had to pretty much do the oppisite

Good luck and have alot of patience
