Cargo boxes and Tools
I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is in the toolkit that comes with the machine? My toolkit has gone missing and I was going to go and pick up some tools to replace it as the dealer wants $118 CAD. I figure I can replace the toys with some much better tools and get a few more things for that kind of money. I was going add the following:
-vice grips
-decent small socket set(metric, sae or both?)
-couple of small crescent wrenches.
-Spare plugs
Anything else you can think of that I should carry as far as tools go? It doesn't have to fit in the factory spot either as my winch solenoid is up there and I'll be keeping the tools in a front cargo box.
Speaking of boxes, I was wondering if anyone knows of any other manufacturers aside from Moose, Kimpex, Tamarack and Kolpin.

Cargo boxes and Tools
i bought a small tackle box and work out of it when i wrench on my brute at home. if i need a tool that is not in it, i put it there when i'm done. stuff like a torque wrench has no place on the trail, but an end wrench set, socket set, 4 in 1 screwdriver, needle nose vice grips, small dykes, ect.. i threw the factory set away the first time i looked at them.
i carry a spary belt and tools enough to change it, spare plugs, a pint of motor oil in one of those lexan sports water bottles, ect... no need for any SAE stuff unless you imagine problems with a Warn winch or something like that.

Thanks, I just wanted to build a kit for the trail. Just in case I swamp it or something simple happens.

the best box is a ammo case its waterproof and takes a good beating, get a canadian tiire tool kit when their on sale and put all the metric stuff in, plus make sure you have a 5/8 for the spark plug with a long extension for the back cyliner if you have the plastic off, and a allen key or vise grip for the carb drains

Where did you find the ammo boxes? I've been looking around and haven't found anything of a decent size. Thanks for the tips on the tools.

I got my clutch tool from Dalton and it came in its own plastic case to keep it safe.

Don't forget about a Tire pump and plugs. I've got the one made by Slime http://www.slime.com/product.php?product=40001. Its great, it has saved my butt a couple of times when I got a flat and I was more than a few miles away from my truck. I have found some on the net for around $30. I bought mine at Wal-mart about a year ago.
