I have a Moose plow and use an Xtreme winch for raising and lowering. I actually think a manual lift would be better. The constant use of the winch runs the battery down and it does not like the short pulls and wears the winch cable prematurely. As for the plow, I am very happy with the Moose unit. I think they are all probably fairly close in value and durability. Check with BVC Racing, or Dick's, two of our site sponsors. They can probably get you a pretty good deal on a plow setup.

I think Adirondack Man is right on the quality of most brands. I also agree with the use of the winch and the effect on the cable. My brother has a 5' warn he swars by and I have a 5' Snowbear that I like pretty well. Both have manual or power lift abilities. I might put my manual lift handle back on because it is starting to screw-up my cable.

If you mean a seperste electric lift for the plow other then the wench, my brother does for his warn. Likes it, no problems. He also just got the power turner...thing. Realy likes that...a lot.

I think that the electric lift and the power angle would be the cat's -ss! I can angle my plow, but have to get off and manually move it whenver I want a different angle. It can get to be a pain in the butt. The quality of the toys, oops!!! I mean necessary tools, are only limited by how many $$ we spend.

I have a warn 54" cyclone plow and use my winch to lift it. I am pretty happy with it, seems to be pretty good quality for what I paid for it. Check atv direct, they were by far the cheapest and had free shipping!
