GET THE HIGH LIFTER TOOL! Trust me on this I learned the hardway and almost lost a finger when I did mine. Buy the tool use it then sell it, thats what I did. I think all the HL spring tools are all the same.

Your probably going to need a second set of hands when you go to compress the rear HL springs, unless you Arkansas folks have an extra set tucked away somewhere. :goofy: If you do get them installed by yourself your more of a man than I am. Or you read the directions.

Thanks, I'll go to the "sale forum" and see if anyone has one they want to get rid of before i go and buy a new one... Good advise! I'll let you know how it goes. I got a extra arm tucked away but it don't have no fingers on it! And I dang sure dont want it pinched in no spring!!
oke:

NP's right, Get the tool Slumlord. A friend lost part of a finger, a hunk of his noise and hurt his eye for life trying to do one without the tool. Heck, soon I'll be putting HL springs on mine and I'll need a tool too. I'll buy it from you if nothing else.

You will notice a big difference with the HL springs I did on mine it really stiffened it up. I didn't buy the tool my dealer only charged me 20 bucks to put them on so I didn't see the need to buy the tool for more
Slumlord they are a lot stiffer

There's an idea... I'll bet my dealer wouldn't give me that good a deal though.

Got my springs from Mudlift! Very nice and got here quick too! Also got some a few extra items stuck in the box! Thanks MUDLIFT! I took off my shocks and ran down to the dealership to get the springs exchanged but the tool they had was for bigger springs. It was made for the big springs on the Kawi Mule. Wouldn't work on mine. They told me to run to AutoZone or O'Reillys and rent the spring changing tool. Went to both and checked them out and they too were to big and wouldn't work. So now I'm waiting on a tool and
no shocks on the Brute. I got new HD tie rod ends from Venforce today too and will install them tomorrow...

Waht setting did you have yours on? I was thinking about going ahead to the firmest setting to help with my load. Its also easier to come down than go up while on the bike. SailorGriz is sending me his Highlifter tool so I can change out the springs. Right now the brute is setting on my jack and the shocks are on the worktable.
